About Me

Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.

~Ralph Waldo  Emerson

My name “Smruti” symbolizes ancient Indian wisdom stored in “Upnishads” which are commentaries on Vedas. Smruti also means remembering and recollection which are essential for learning and accumulation of experiences. Years after years I have been shaped by my experiences.

I am passionate about learning new tools and technologies for developing eLearning content and exploring innovative methods for integrating education and technology. I also enjoy clicking photographs, editing videos & images, traveling, reading, chit-chatting, and learning. I am and will always be a learner at heart, constantly looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and shine.

A family consisting of a mother, a home scientist by degree and very creative by nature, father, who is a software engineer, has contributed in my passion for being creative using technology, and a brother, who is currently pursuing his PhD in Biodiversity and Bioinformatics.

My educational qualification, in Psychology and Human Development, has helped me develop a holistic perspective of human behavior across the lifespan. This perspective is very important when I am analyzing learners to design and develop courses. Masters in Educational Technology provided me with opportunities to explore the creative and innovative side I possess. My work experience as an instructional designer across various firms including startups and multinational global organizations has helped me keep up with latest trends in the field and continuously improve my skills to ensure content caters learner and remains aligned with learning objectives.

Someday in future, I hope to build a school that’s technologically advanced, and provides every child with an opportunity to experience learning from anywhere, anytime!
