My First AI-Generated Video
As my first foray into AI-assisted video production, “In Crust We Trust: The Pizza Saga” traces the journey of pizza from humble origins to global phenomenon. This project marked the beginning of an end-to-end AI content pipeline I’ve since refined — combining Claude for scripting, Canva for visual assets, PixVerse for animation, and ElevenLabs for voiceover, all brought together in Camtasia. More than a history lesson, it became a testing ground for exploring how generative AI tools could support creative storytelling and instructional content design, laying the foundation for the video series I continue to produce today.
Recognizing that today’s “reel generation” engages best with quick, digestible content, I created a short-form AI video exploring the birth of the Internet — condensing a complex, foundational topic into a format built for modern attention spans. This piece extended my AI video pipeline into the realm of micro-learning, demonstrating how the same tools used for long-form storytelling (Canva, PixVerse/Kling AI, ElevenLabs, and Camtasia) could be adapted to deliver concise, high-retention instructional content. It reflects a broader instructional design principle I’m exploring: that effective learning today often means meeting audiences where they are — in short, scroll-friendly bursts — without sacrificing substance.
